Our Inn
Moss Mountain Inn is located in Northwest Montana and nestled among picturesque evergreens, perennial flowers, and abundant wildlife. We are just minutes from the North Fork of the Flathead River and a short drive to the West entrance of Glacier National Park(GNP).
If you have winter fun in mind,
              SKI! SKI! SKI!
You can cross country ski or snowshoe right out our door, or drive 10 miles out to GNP! And we have equipment to rent.
We are about 40 minutes away from Whitefish Mountain Resort and hour and half to Blacktail Mountain Ski Area. Not to mention the easily accessible side country all along the North Fork Rd.

Our guest areas include a 300 square-foot glass solarium, an elevated bird and wildlife watching room, an entertainment area, a library, outdoor hot tub and fire pit (only summer use), and perennial gardens. Moss Mountain Inn has also been certified as a wildlife sanctuary by the National Wildlife Federation.

Our Area
Most visitors come to see Glacier National Park with our easy location and relaxing atmosphere. Of course you will find all the beauty and adventure you could dream of, from rugged mountains, crystal-clear lakes, and alpine forests to a healthy abundance of wildlife unique to these remote areas in Glacier.

But it's good to keep in mind that there are many other activities and attractions in our area outside of the park that you will want to consider.

There are numerous trails in the area that are less frequented by the crowds of Glacier and just as beautiful. Check out our "join the adventure page" for some ideas or check out this USDA website
https://www.fs.usda.gov/activity/flathead/recreation/hiking/?recid=66162&actid=50These trails can also be used in the winter if you have the backcountry bug for skinning, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.

Many guests enjoy a summer chair or gondola ride up Whitefish Mountain Resort, a drive through the cherry orchards on the east side of Flathead lake, or a visit to the numerous wineries in the area.

Let's not forget the winter activities we have too. Moss is located less than 10 minuets from a popular snowmobiling location. Two ski areas less than 2 hours away. Endless side and backcountry opportunities for your chosen foot attachments. Sleigh Rides, ice fishing, bar stool races, and much more.

Reviews and Awards

Moss Mountain Inn was the perfect base for our Glacier National Park adventures. The Grinnell Room was spacious with plenty of amenities. The bed was comfortable, and the view from our balcony was incredible -- the perfect place to start the day with coffee and a journal. The entire home was very clean, and I appreciate that they ask guests to remove shoes upon entry. The breakfast each morning was fresh with a lot of options. Sandy's scones were INCREDIBLE, and we had plenty of carbs and protein for a day of hiking. They even have some grab-and-go snacks for your hikes. The location is perfect, only about 10 minutes from the West Glacier entrance, 10 minutes from Columbia Falls, and 20 minutes from Whitefish. The B&B is situated in a quiet spot where you're surrounded by nature. We enjoyed stargazing at night on the grounds. Finally, the hosts were very warm and welcoming. Marguerite shared recommendations and was friendly to talk to. This felt more like staying at a relative's home than a Bed and Breakfast. I would have no reservations about staying here again, and if we are ever back in the area, we would definitely return to Moss Mountain Inn."

Just Stay Here: We stayed at MMI in mid September. A perfect location for visiting Glacier and the surrounding area. Marguerite and her daughter Callie were excellent hosts. We felt welcome and comfortable. We stayed n the Highline room. The bed was the best for a great night's sleep. The room had a huge bath with a great shower. We had a balcony overlooking the back of the property that was great for relaxing with a drink. We traveled from the Grand Tetons to Yellowstone to Glacier and this was by far the best place we stayed. Instead of just accommodations, it became part of the overall vacation experience. Enjoy the mountains, the clean fresh air and the hospitality at MMI. My wife and I highly recommend a stay here.

Quiet inn near Glacier NP where you can get fur baby fix! Wonderful quiet inn ~ 20 min drive from Glacier NP - Marguerite was a consummate hostess, accommodating our special dietary needs. Pets on property are the best! So nice to get your fur baby fix while traveling. Dogs, cats, beta fish, song birds - it was amazing!

Wonderful! This is one of the most beautiful places that you will ever visit. The room was spectacular, the accommodations were excellent, the location was very peaceful, quiet and friendly. The staff was amazing to interact with. I will definitely be coming back to Moss Mountain Inn for future stays in this area.

Perfect start to GNP Moss Mountain Inn was the ideal starting point for my GNP adventure. Not only was the location great for a West Glacier start, but Marguerite was the perfect host, very generous with her time and expert knowledge of the area. The Inn was cozy and welcoming and the beds were extremely comfortable. I would definitely (and probably will) stay again when visiting Montana. The grounds were also very lovely.

Lovely stay at Moss Mountain Inn! Moss Mountain Inn was excellent! The property is lovely, there are many areas to sit and enjoy the outside. We hiked around a pond on the back of the property. There are beautiful gardens around the chalet. Our room had a south facing balcony, which we used every day to sit and watch birds. The bed was comfortable and bath well equipped. Marguerite provided great information about the local area and Glacier Park.
